Getting There
Find us on 32 Aviles Street
We’re located in the yellow building with green shutters. The museum can be accessed through our historic garden. Our garden entrance is marked by our sign and a large brown, wooden door.
We are located on the oldest street in North America.
While we are proud of that fact, we are met with some restrictions.
Parking is not available in front of the museum. Visitors will have to find public parking and walk to the museum.
Aviles St. is laid with cobblestone and may not be suitable for wheelchairs and other walking aids.
Sidewalks are also available but are uneven in some areas and may not be suitable for wheelchairs and other walking aids.
If you or someone in your group has different access needs, please contact our museum curator and we will be happy to do our best to accommodate you.

Visitor Amenities
We strive to make your experience enjoyable and accessible. Plan your visit and make the most of our amenities.
Accessibility
Our Museum is located in the oldest existing building in North America.
While we are proud of that fact, we are met with some restrictions.
Please be aware that there are no elevators for those who may prefer to avoid stairs. However, we offer an audio tour for an enriched experience on each floor.
We are actively developing Virtual Reality experiences to ensure accessibility to the second and third floors for all our visitors. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing an inclusive historical journey.
Enhance your museum experience with our audio tour, available in three languages – English, French, and Spanish. For added accessibility, interpretive label translations into Spanish are also provided.
If you or someone in your group has different visual, hearing, or learning needs, please contact our museum curator and we will be happy to do our best to accommodate your needs.
